I have clients in other states with whom I communicate by telephone, instant messaging and e-mail.
I believe that a web site is above all a means of communication. It should begin with a site plan that fits your business. It should be clearly laid out, uncluttered, easy on the eyes, and have a navigation plan that will enable the user to find information quickly. All graphics and other elements should serve the message being expressed and never be used gratuitously.
I started my web business with a client who is a classical singer. Other clients have included pianists, a summer music camp, a chamber music group, and a visual artist. Each site is tailored in layout, color scheme, and font selection to fit the personality of the client. When you look at my portfolio you will see the wide range that is possible.
A great looking site is of no use to you if no one can find it. I will brainstorm with you to arrive at the words that need to appear on your site and in the metadata “under the hood” so that people searching for someone like you will find your site. Your hosting plan will include site statistics that will tell you how many visitors your site has, what search words they were using, and what other sites referred them to yours. |
